About the Role
Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools across DE65 (Willington and nearby villages) who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to support on a flexible supply basis.
You will be supporting across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping pupils to stay engaged and access learning in a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom routines
- Encouraging positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting pupils to remain focused and involved in lessons
This role is well suited to those looking for flexible, local work within smaller school settings.

Person Specification
- Recent UK-based experience working with children (school-based preferred)
- Comfortable supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
- Strong communication skills and a patient, professional approach
- Reliable and able to adapt to different school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
