Connex - Tutors
Role: TEFL/ESOL Tutor
Location: Face-to-Face, in Home or School, Bradford
Hours: Monday to Friday, Flexible Hours
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time Options Available – SEPTEMBER START
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging 1:1 or small group ESOL tutoring sessions to students with varying levels of English proficiency.

Develop and adapt lesson plans to suit individual learning styles, backgrounds, and language goals.

Support students’ integration, confidence, and communication through language development.

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment tailored to learners’ cultural and linguistic needs.

Collaborate with parents, carers, and education professionals to ensure consistent progress and engagement.

Use a range of visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic teaching methods to support diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
-
Experience working with ESOL or EAL learners, ideally in a 1:1 or small group setting.

TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent teaching qualification.

Ability to build rapport and engage learners from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds.

Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.
-
Patience, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility in teaching approaches.
-
Knowledge of SEMH/SEN support is desirable but not essential.
