Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Derby. Your role will be instrumental in empowering students with SEN to achieve their full potential and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
Provide one-on-one or group support tailored to students’ unique needs.
Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to create engaging learning experiences.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Monitor and document student progress, reporting to the SEN Coordinator.
Encourage independence and confidence among SEN students.
Requirements:
While formal qualifications are not mandatory, a genuine passion for supporting SEN students is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
Willingness to adapt and learn to meet individual students’ needs.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
