Connex Education is working with a Primary School in the Birkenhead area who are recruiting for a Year 4 Teaching Assistant to work full-time from September 2025.

An inclusive and community-focused primary school is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join their Year 4 class. The school prides itself on fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere where every child is encouraged to thrive. They are looking for someone who is committed, adaptable, and eager to contribute to pupils’ development.
This varied role will include working across the classroom, supporting small groups, and providing one-to-one assistance to children with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) where needed.

Person Specification
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable, however those with relevant school experience, will be considered.
- GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
- Have experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting.
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
