Role: Year 5 Teacher
Rate of pay: £840 – £1160 P/W

**About the role**
As a Year 5 teacher, your role is to support and guide children aged 9–10 as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll plan and deliver lessons across a range of subjects, using different teaching methods to make learning engaging and accessible for every child. You’ll regularly assess pupils’ progress, provide feedback, and adapt their teaching to meet individual needs, including supporting those with additional learning requirements. Beyond teaching, You’ll create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encourage good behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence. You’ll work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues, take part in school activities, and continue developing their own skills. Overall, a Year 5 teacher inspires a love of learning while preparing pupils for the move into Year 6.
**Role Requirements**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
- Strong subject knowledge across core and foundation subjects.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to assess, track, and support pupil progress.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of children’s needs.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
