Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral
Salary: £425 – £450 per week (dependent on experience/ qualifications)
Working Days: Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm
About the Role
We are actively seeking a Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive two form entry school in Birkenhead, Wirral. You will be providing 1:1 support to a student with ASD (autism).
Working on a full time basis starting ASAP in April 2025, this will be on a temporary basis to May half term in the first instance, but with a view to extend until the end of the summer term for the right person. You will be working with a fantastic team of teachers and support staff in Key Stage 2, and will have access to a range of training through Connex Education.

Person Specification
- Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, NVQ, BTEC, Childcare, NNEB, etc.) is desirable.
- GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English.
- Have experience of supporting pupils in a school or similar setting.
- Experience working with children with ASD.
- Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially within Key Stage 2.
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
