Secondary staff

We are a trusted secondary teacher agency

We are very proud of the staff we provide to support secondary schools. They are hand-picked and are more than equal to the task. Our schools trust the quality of Connex teachers.

Well-prepared and supported by CPD training our staff are of very high quality when they join us, well aware of the challenges of providing supply in secondary schools. Our secondary staff, in line with the ethos at Connex, are committed to contributing fully to the pupils’ education and training – and the school’s smooth running.

Matching staff to schools

We meet all secondary supply needs including short-term emergency cover, long-term absence cover and permanent recruitment. We do this from our extensive database of local staff, all of whom get to know well.

We also get to know each school’s particular requirements. Which is why we’re good at matching candidates’ skills with schools’ preferences.

Experienced teachers, ECTs and TA's

Our high calibre secondary teachers can fill general supply cover needs or more specific subject specialisms. And we can find you the right teacher to expertly deliver the curriculum in those shortage subjects (and far quicker than via traditional advertising). We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff; they appreciate being valued and respond with high levels of commitment.

We also have a pipeline of talented ECTs, all keen to have the opportunity to show what skills they can offer.

Lastly, we have excellent teaching assistants and cover supervisors ready to support your school. Many have additional language skills, which can often be useful.

If you have used us or worked for us, you will already know this to be true. If you have not, you have no idea just how much you are missing. We really do take the headache out of getting the right supply.
