Shane and Charlotte are amazing. Great communication/professionalism, and go out of their way to make sure I have everything that I need and require.
What are the best parts of your job as a tutor?
Being able to make a difference to a young person’s life. Allowing them to achieve qualifications. Thinking outside of the box, when everything else fails, allowing them to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel and they can still get some good qualifications.

What are the young people you tutor like? How are you positively impacting them?
I am working with a wide range of students. I work with students who have been in the youth justice system. Allowing them a second chance of integrating into society and making sure they achieve well and take full advantage of the second chance that has been given to them. I am working with students with SEMH needs, I am allowing them to be comfortable in their environment and doing student-centred lessons to allow them to engage and flourish.
What does being awarded the Professional Tutor Quality Mark from Connex Tutors mean to you?
It is always nice to be rewarded for something that you are passionate about. This award is for everyone who works for Connex, from Shane, Charlotte to the tutors. It shows that hard work and passion pay off.
Would you recommend tutoring and Connex Tutors to others?
I already have because they care about the student and make sure that they have a holistic approach to cater for the student’s needs and requirements.
