About the Role
Connex Education is recruiting for a Qualified Teacher to work on a one to one basis with a year two student who is not attending Primary School. The KS1 student has never attended a formal school, tutor will need to focus on communication development as skills are limited and student is unable to make her wants and needs known. However the student is self-directed when they are engaged and can turn attention to a given tasks when they have a secure positive relationship with the adult.
Tuition will be based in the students home for three or four sessions per week. With sessions including motivator’s that allow the student to be active.
As a Home Tutor, it is essential that you have a dynamic teaching style and can identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis.
Assignment Details
This role will start on Monday 24th February 2025 and will be on an long term basis.

Person Specification
- QTS or equivalent.
- Simple expereince signing or PECS understanding would be ideal but not essential.
- Strong ability to engage and motivate reluctant learners.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Driving license (Preferred).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
- An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations.
