About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming school in Pinxton. This role involves teaching a Year 5 class from after the February half term until the end of the academic year in July 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s education during a crucial period of their primary education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons following the Year 5 curriculum
- Plan and prepare high-quality teaching resources
- Assess and monitor pupil progress
- Maintain a positive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members
- Participate in parents’ evenings and school events
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5 (NQTs and ECTs are also welcome to apply)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passionate approach to primary education
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one
