1-1 Teaching Assistant

About the role:
Connex Education are seeking a 1-1 Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
About the School:
We are working with a SEND school in Bolton who cater for pupils ages between 4-11 with SEMH needs. Communication is an important factor in supporting the children doing well, building strong relationships with families is also important within this role.
Assignment details:
This is a full-time long-term role with an ASAP start. The hours are 8:30am-3:30pm. This role will require a Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a 1-1 basis across the school.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
- Be understanding and empathetic with the ability to help children self -regulate
- Able to use different styles of communication as some pupils are non-verbal
- Be able to contribute to observations
- Willing to provide personal care.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
