About the role
Connex Education works with schools across Nottingham that are part of the Flying High Trust to provide dedicated support staff.
We are currently seeking a committed Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a Year 3 class in Edwalton, Nottingham. This is an immediate start position working Monday to Friday during school hours. The role involves providing one-to-one support for a pupil with special educational needs during morning sessions, and transitioning to general classroom support for all students in the afternoons.

- Afternoon duties: General classroom assistance supporting the class teacher

Person Specification
We are looking for qualified Teaching Assistants who have previous experience working with children with special educational needs. Candidates must hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (such as Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning, HLTA status, or equivalent).
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of various learning needs, possess strong behavior management skills, and be able to adapt teaching strategies to support individual students.
Your proven ability to work effectively in educational settings and dedication to supporting children’s learning and development are essential for this role.
