About the Role

- 5 days per week, 8:30 – 15:30
- Starting Sept 2026 – ongoing for full academic year
- Potential for offer of permanent position
- Working with KS3 KS4 and KS5 students
- Occasionally supporting with Media and Performing Arts lessons

This is a large Secondary school located in Derby city centre. The school has a current Ofsted grading of ‘Good’ which it has held for almost a decade. The school is known for having a strong, dedicated leadership team that has prioritised the personal development of its pupils which has been extremely effective. Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) proven by providing your Teacher Reference Number
- Experience of working as a Music teacher in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms since obtaining QTS.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process
- The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a Music teacher.
- A minimum of 2 school based references
