A welcoming primary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths & English Tutor to provide targeted intervention support for Year 6 pupils in the lead-up to their SATs.
Working through Connex Education, you’ll support small groups of pupils, delivering focused Maths and English sessions that build confidence, close learning gaps, and help pupils achieve their best possible SATs outcomes.
The Role
- Deliver engaging Maths and English intervention sessions to small groups of Year 6 pupils.
- Support pupils in preparing for Key Stage 2 SATs.
- Identify learning gaps and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and school staff to monitor progress.
- Inspire confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
We’re Looking For
- Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 6 Maths and English curriculum.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), HLTA status, tutoring experience, or relevant teaching experience is desirable.
