Nursery Teaching Assistant

Connex Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school with a nursery provision in the Mansfield (NG17) area. We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration and positive relationships. The school prides itself on creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Supporting children within the nursery setting with their learning and development

• Assisting with engaging, play-based activities both indoors and outdoors

• Encouraging children’s communication, social and emotional development

• Supporting routines including snack time, story time and creative activities

• Working closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to create a positive learning environment

• Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool or school setting

• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or Teaching Assistance (desirable)

• Is patient, caring and enthusiastic

• Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• Is committed to helping every child develop confidence and a love of learning
