EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant – Part-Time (1 Day Per Week)
Location: NG6, Nottingham
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-Term (Until October Half Term Initially)
Pay: Up to £100 per day
Connex Education is recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in the NG6 area for an experienced EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a mainstream primary school setting.
The Role
-
Working every Wednesday (1 day per week)
-
Supporting a child within an EYFS/KS1 classroom

Providing additional support throughout the school day

Assisting with reading, writing and classroom learning activities

Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence

Working closely with the class teacher to ensure the child reaches their full potential
The Ideal Candidate
-
Has recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS and/or Key Stage 1

Has experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream primary school

Is patient, caring and able to build positive relationships with children

Can adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

Is confident supporting early literacy and numeracy development
