About the Opportunity
Are you a university student in your final year or a recent graduate looking for flexible, rewarding work around your studies or while deciding on your next career move? Have you ever considered a future in teaching or working with young people?
No teaching qualification or previous school experience is required – full training and ongoing support are provided.
Connex Education is looking for enthusiastic, confident, and adaptable individuals from a range of degree backgrounds, including Maths, Science, English, Sport, Humanities, Drama, Art, and other related subjects, to work in secondary schools across Bath (BANES) as Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, whether you’re considering teacher training in the future or simply looking for meaningful, well-paid work during term time.

We provide full training, ongoing guidance, and dedicated support before you begin working in schools, giving you the confidence and skills to succeed from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supervising classes of up to 30 students across a range of secondary school subjects.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain focused on their learning.
• Supporting teachers and pupils as a Teaching Assistant where required.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and positively.
• Building positive relationships with students aged 11-16.
• Acting as a professional role model within the school environment.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

• Excellent experience for anyone considering a future career in teaching, education, or youth work.
About You

• A bubbly, engaging, and professional personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn.
• A genuine interest in supporting young people and education.
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential if you have the right attitude and confidence.
