Connex Education is recruiting on behalf of Killisick Primary School for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils within Key Stage 1/2 from September.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with behavioural needs

• Deliver small group interventions and classroom support

• Build positive relationships that encourage engagement and confidence

• Support pupils to access learning and manage their emotions throughout the school day

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective support strategies

The successful candidate should be comfortable supporting a child who can occasionally display challenging behaviours, including shouting and swearing, and be able to respond with patience, consistency and confidence.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience working 1:1 with pupils

• Has strong behaviour management skills

• Can remain calm and resilient in challenging situations

• Builds positive relationships with children

• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential

• Is committed to helping every child succeed
