School Caretaker

£14.26 – £15.00 per hour | 3 Days Per Week | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Knowle

We are recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive specialist school in Knowle that works with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining buildings and grounds, and is looking for a rewarding role within a school setting.

What You’ll Receive

✔ £14.26 – £15.00 per hour
✔ Part-time role – 3 days per week
✔ Thursday and Friday fixed working days
✔ Additional working day agreed with the successful candidate
✔ School hours – 8:30am to 3:30pm
✔ Supportive and welcoming school environment
✔ Immediate and September starts considered

Your Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the school site

• General maintenance and repairs

• Painting and decorating

• Basic handyman duties

• Ensuring the school grounds are tidy and safe

• Carrying out routine health and safety checks

• Reporting and monitoring maintenance issues

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school site

We’re Looking For

• Previous caretaker, site supervisor, facilities, maintenance, handyman or similar experience

• Good DIY and repair skills

• Reliable and trustworthy approach

• Ability to work independently and manage your workload

• Understanding of site health and safety requirements

• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
