Experienced Year 1 Teacher
September – December 2026
Connex Education is looking for an experienced Year 1 Teacher to join Hillside Primary School for two days per week this September.
This role would suit an established KS1 teacher who can step into the classroom confidently and provide a consistent, positive learning environment.
The school is specifically looking for an experienced teacher rather than an ECT.
The Class
This is a diverse Year 1 class, with around 40% of pupils identified as having SEND and approximately 20% eligible for pupil premium.
The class includes a range of additional needs, including autism and ADHD. There are also two pupils with EHCPs, with two support workers already working within the classroom.

- Strong classroom management
- Experience supporting diverse learning needs
- Calm and consistent approach
- Available every Thursday and Friday
Getting Here
The school is based in NG15 and is accessible from Hucknall, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Mansfield, Bulwell and surrounding areas.
