About the role
Connex Education is looking for an Alternative Provision Tutor to work within one of the cluster of provisions in multiple locations round the Nottinghamshire area.
About the school
The school itself provides an inclusive, holistic learning environment for vulnerable children who are struggling to attend mainstream school. The main purpose of the school is to support pupils and their families gradually overcome the barriers to education and provide accessibility to learning. This school has a key focus of increasing opportunities for those may have turbulent education journey that may require an individualised approach to education intervention.
Assignment details
As a successful Alternative Provision Tutor you will have direct experience with challenging behaviour, have the training for physical interventions and experience working with complex needs. You will have knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and it would be desirable for you to be MAPPA and Team Teach trained. If you have worked with children or adults with complex needs this is the role for you! We can accept both qualified and unqualified teachers with experience working with vulnerable adults and/ or children with a key interest in an Alternative provision setting.

Person Specification
- Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a School or a similar setting
- Strive for excellence and go the extra mile!
- Be willing to provide personal care
- Be confident in working with challenging behaviour
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
- Qualified Teacher Status (Desirable)
- Degree (Desirable)
- Relevent experience (essential)
