£400-£600 per week (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Beeston, Nottingham. This is a full-time maternity cover position working in the nursery setting, starting from 24th February 2025.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the development and learning of nursery-aged children, helping to create an engaging and nurturing environment that promotes their educational, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of early years curriculum activities
• Assist with children’s personal, social, and emotional development
• Maintain accurate observations and assessment records
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team to create stimulating learning environments
• Support children with additional needs, including those with SEND
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Person Specification

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Previous experience working in early years settings (desirable)
• SEND experience (desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong understanding of child development
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
