About the Role
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and flexible PPA Cover Teacher to work full-time in a welcoming mainstream primary school in Hackney. This role involves covering classes across all year groups, delivering pre-planned lessons, and ensuring continuity of learning while class teachers are engaged in planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and adaptable teacher who enjoys working across different age groups and subjects. The role starts after February half-term and runs for the remainder of the academic year, with potential for extension.

Assignment Details
- Start Date: After February half-term
- Contract Type: Full-time, long-term supply
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3.30pm (term-time only)
- Covering: Various year groups across the school (EYFS – KS2)
Person Specification
We are looking for a PPA Cover Teacher who meets the following criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential
- Primary Teaching Experience: Proven experience across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
- Adaptability & Confidence: Ability to teach across multiple year groups and subjects
- Strong Behaviour Management: Ability to maintain high expectations for behavior and learning
- Enthusiastic & Engaging: Passionate about making learning enjoyable and accessible for all pupils
- Excellent Communication Skills: Able to liaise effectively with staff, parents, and leadership teams
- DBS Check: A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one
