About the Role
Do you have a passion for helping children build confidence, develop positive behaviours, and succeed in the classroom? Connex Education is seeking dedicated Behaviour Support professionals to work within primary schools across Radstock.
We have a variety of flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day supply and longer-term placements, giving you the freedom to find work that suits your experience, availability, and career goals.
You’ll provide pupils with the guidance and encouragement they need to manage challenges, engage with learning, and develop positive relationships. Working closely with teachers and school staff, you’ll play an important role in creating a calm, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide focused support to pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
- Work in partnership with class teachers and school staff to encourage positive behaviour.
- Support pupils individually or in small groups as required.
- Build trusting and positive relationships with pupils.
- Encourage children to develop appropriate techniques for managing their emotions and behaviour.
- Support pupils to engage with classroom activities and learning.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment.
- Adapt your approach to suit different pupils, classrooms, and school routines.

Job Requirements
- Experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or additional needs is desirable.
- Previous experience working within a primary school or educational setting is beneficial.
- A genuine passion for helping children develop and achieve their potential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to form positive and professional relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Calm, patient, dependable, and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, and diversity.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
