SEND English Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150 – £260 per day – ECT’s Welcome (depending on role, experience, and responsibilities)
Start Date: September 2026
About the Role
Connex Education is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated English Specilait for KS4 in an AP working with on a full and part time basis

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
- Support pupils SEMH needs to achieve both academically and personally
- Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment
- Use creative and adaptable teaching strategies to support engagement and progress
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams and parents/carers
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting support where required
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) preferred, although relevant SEND teaching experience will also be considered
- Experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD or additional learning needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A calm, resilient and adaptable approach
- Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
- Right to work in the UK
