Connex Education is recruiting for an experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming village primary school from September on an ongoing, full-time basis.
This unique opportunity is ideal for a confident and adaptable teacher who enjoys building strong relationships and is passionate about supporting pupils in a small school environment. With just 28 pupils across the entire school, you’ll become part of a dedicated team committed to providing every child with the best possible education.
You will teach a mixed Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 class of 14 pupils.
This is a full teaching role, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking.
About the role
The class has a range of SEND needs, including one pupil with an EHCP who is fully supported by a dedicated 1:1 teaching assistant, as well as a child currently accessing a part-time timetable.
As a mixed-age class teacher, there will be occasions where lessons are delivered to different year groups simultaneously, including teaching from two boards or screens. The Headteacher provides excellent support and access to a wide range of planning resources to help teachers manage the curriculum effectively.
This position would suit someone who is resilient, organised and confident managing a busy classroom with multiple responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching Key Stage 2
- Is confident teaching mixed-age classes
- Can effectively plan and deliver lessons across multiple year groups
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is resilient, adaptable and able to work well under pressure
- Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
Due to the demands of the role, experienced teachers are preferred over Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
