- Teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting
- Planning and delivering engaging and structured lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress to inform teaching and learning
- Setting challenging learning objectives and high expectations for all students
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL and high prior attainers
- Creating a positive and purposeful learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement
- Using a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and support student development
- Preparing reports and communicating effectively with parents, carers and colleagues

Person Specification
To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Experience of teaching Business Studies, or relevant curriculum subjects, within a British curriculum secondary school setting.
- A secure knowledge and understanding of the Business Studies curriculum.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and external professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
- Full enhanced DBS certificate.
- Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to succeed.
- A minimum of 2 school-based references.
