Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

£85 – £110 per day

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our primary school in Areas across Nottingham, working alongside our qualified teacher in a Year 1/2 class. This is a full-time position starting immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning activities 
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils
• Assist in creating and maintaining a stimulating learning environment
• Support assessment and recording of pupil progress
• Contribute to behavior management using positive strategies

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent Level 3 qualification
• Have proven experience working in Key Stage 1&2
• Demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Show strong behavior management abilities
• Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
