About the Role

Connex Education is working with a primary school in Upton seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support across Key Stage 2 classes (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6). The role will primarily involve supporting pupils in maths, so a solid working knowledge of the Key Stage 2 maths curriculum is essential.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience supporting children with additional needs and managing challenging behaviour. A nurturing, calm and patient approach is key.

Assignment Details

This is a part-time position, on Thursdays and Fridays. You will start ASAP and the assignment will run until the end of the academic year, July 2026.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
