About the Role

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated Year 6 teacher to join a primary school in the NG19 area, starting February 24th, 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact during a crucial year in pupils’ primary education, preparing them for their transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across the Year 6 curriculum
• Prepare pupils for SATs and secondary school transition
• Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Maintain effective assessment and tracking systems
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members
• Contribute to the wider school community

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Primary teaching experience (NQTs and ECTs welcome)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent understanding of Year 6 curriculum and SATs requirements
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one
• Ability to start on February 24th, 2025
