Recruitment Consultant – Education
Location: Middlesbrough | Pay: Up to £35,000 base salary, OTE £60,000+

Connex Education is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our high-performing team in Middlesbrough. This is an exciting opportunity to take over a hot education recruitment desk with active schools, established relationships and immediate earning potential. About the Role / Setting
You will manage and grow an established SEND recruitment desk, partnering with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts across the North East. The desk already has regular bookings and existing business, giving you the chance to make an impact quickly. You will also have the autonomy to develop new partnerships, increase market share and build a highly rewarding career with Connex Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue across an already successful education recruitment desk.
- Develop existing client relationships while pro actively winning new business.
- Recruit and place high-quality Teachers, Teaching Assistants and SEND professionals.
- Build trusted partnerships with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts.
- Deliver excellent service to both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle from business development through to placement.
- Work towards targets while identifying opportunities to expand your desk.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in recruitment, business development or B2B sales.
- A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Confidence building relationships with decision makers.
- Strong negotiation, closing and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness, resilience and a motivated approach to growth.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Education recruitment experience is beneficial but not essential.
