Recruitment Consultant – Primary & SEND Education
Location: North London (Fully Remote) Must be able to commute to areas across North
Salary: Up to £40,000 basic salary + uncapped commission (OTE £60,000+)
Connex Education is looking for an experineced and ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team, specialising in Primary and SEND education recruitment across North London.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of an established desk with active schools, existing partnerships and immediate earning potential, all while working entirely from home. You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to manage your own diary, build long-term school partnerships and develop your desk within one of the most exciting education recruitment markets in the UK.

About the Role
You will manage and grow an established Primary & SEND recruitment desk, working with mainstream primary schools, specialist provisions and Multi-Academy Trusts across North London.
With existing business, active vacancies and established client relationships already in place, you’ll have a strong platform to achieve success from the outset. Alongside developing existing partnerships, you’ll identify new opportunities, expand your market presence and continue building a highly successful desk.
This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while managing your own territory across North London. As relationship building is central to the role, you will be expected to attend regular face-to-face meetings with schools and candidates, conduct school visits and represent Connex Education at networking opportunities across the region. Typically, this will require travel within North London at least once per week.
This role is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys autonomy, relationship building and commercial success, while benefiting from the flexibility of a home-based role backed by the support of a successful national education recruitment business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a successful Primary & SEND recruitment desk across North London.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with Headteachers, SENDCOs, School Business Managers and Trust leaders.
- Recruit and place high-quality Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and SEND professionals.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the education sector.
- Deliver exceptional service to schools and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from business development through to placement and aftercare.
- Maximise existing opportunities whilst expanding market share across your territory.
- Become a trusted recruitment partner within the North London education community.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in recruitment is essential and business development/B2B sales.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a remote-working environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
- Commercial awareness, resilience and a proactive approach.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Education recruitment experience is advantageous, particularly within Primary or SEND, but not essential.
