Role: School Science Technician
Rate of pay: £500 -£600 P/W – Dependant on experience
Location: Birmingham
**About the role**
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated Science Technician to support laboratory activities in an educational setting. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, constructing and modifying apparatus, and setting up experiments. You will actively participate in laboratory demonstrations, assist in practical classes, and provide technical support to students. Additionally, you will manage resources, oversee budgets, and ensure all procedures comply with current health and safety standards.

**Role Requirements**
- Maths and English GCSE C/4 or above.
- Knowledge of the Secondary national curriculum standards.
- NQV Level 3 in Laboratory Technicians in Education (LATA) or equivalent would be beneficial.
- Degree in science related subject.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislations.
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
- Previous experience working in Education is desirable.
