Job Title: Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher
Location: Chesterfield
Up to £1000 per week(depending on experience)
About the role
Connex Education is working with a SEND school in Chesterfield, and we are recruiting a SEND teacher to work on a full-time basis. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our team and support students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges that make thriving in mainstream schools difficult.

The school is a specialized educational institution catering to 7 to 14-year-olds who encounter social, emotional, and mental health challenges that pose obstacles to their success in a conventional school environment.

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) confirming employability as a Teacher in England, Scotland & Wales
- Previous experience with SEN children, preferably with experience of working with children that have SEMH needs.
- DBS On the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education
- Strong classroom management skills, confident working with challenging behaviour
- A clear passion for working with children and fostering their educational growth
- Commitment to the profession of working in Education
- Past 2 years’ worth of referencing
