SEN Teacher – Handsworth
Location: Handsworth
Pay Rate: In line with pay scale (£700 – £1,050 per week)
Start Date: September 2026 or sooner
Duration: Long-term role (Full academic year)
Hours: Full-time
Connex Education are currently working with a welcoming and supportive school in the Handsworth area who are looking to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a full time, long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and making a positive impact within a nurturing learning environment.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- Help pupils develop both academically and socially
- ECT support available
Requirements:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEN is essential
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to teaching
- Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS if you do not already have one registered on the update service
- Able to provide a minimum of 2 references, including your most recent employer
