About the role:
Connex Education are working with SEND School in Knowsley who are looking for a full-time PPA cover to cover a range of classes throughout the School. The School caters for pupils 2-19 years with SLD, ASC,PMLD, sensory and complex needs.

This School has fantastic facilities that fosters a child-centered approach that promotes individual achievements and independence. All staff support pupils into adulthood, they work closely with parents and adopt a multi-agency approach with nurses, therapists, social workers and positive behaviour teams. As a PPA cover teacher at this School, you will receive planning tie and support from teachers and TA’s.
Assignment details:
This role will commence asap, this is a full time role. The hours consist of working 8.30am-3.30pm. This role will last for the remainder of the academic year and there is a chance of a direct contract.

Person specification:
- Experience of teaching pupils with complex needs
- Be able to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Be adaptable and able to quickly build a trusting relationship with pupils
- Able to work well as a team with TA’s
- Able to communicate well and be patient.
- Be familiar with EHCP’S, assessing and setting targets
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
