About the role
Connex Education is looking for experienced Qualified Teacher to join our Home Tuition team for an exciting opportunity working with a child who is currently out of education.
This flexible role allows you to manage your own schedule while working closely with a student outside of a traditional classroom environment, giving you a unique chance to directly witness the impact of your teaching on their learning progress.
The student has a diagnosis of ASD and PICA, they have been out of Education since June 2024. This student requires a play-based curriculum to be able to engage in learning, experience with this style of teaching would be ideal. The individual can access and thrive in their learning through one-to-one interactions and needs a personalized approach to their learning, where being outdoors can be incorporated within their sessions where possible.
Tuition will take place within the student’s home and will typically consist of three to four sessions a week. We are seeking a teacher who will be able to provide a calm, nurturing environment, whilst fostering the development of the student’s confidence and skill set.
Assignment Details
This role will start as soon as possible and will last until the end of the academic year.

Person Specification
- QTS / QTLS or equivalent
- Previous experience working with SEN Students would be desirable.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
- An outstanding practitioner with high expectations.
- Driving license (Preferred).
