£400 – £550 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
About the Role
Connex Education is working with a vibrant primary school in Alvaston (DE24) to recruit a Teaching Assistant to start in April. The school is inclusive and supportive, focusing on providing an enriching environment for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those requiring personal care. We would ideally like to find someone with a strong SEND or care background to ensure the best support for the children.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside dedicated staff to support children in their academic and personal development, helping them to reach their full potential.
Assignment Details
• Start Date: April
• Contract Type: Regular relief cover (full-time or part-time options)
• Responsibilities: Support for children with SEN, including personal care, 1:1 and small group work

Person Specification
• Experience working with children aged 4–11 years
• Strong background in SEND or care and experience with personal care
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to process a new one)
