About the role
Connex Education are working with a large number of mainstream primary schools and nurseries based in the North Yorkshire area who are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team and work full time from nursery to year 6. If you are someone who is currently in college, completing placement hours or providing support in schools and looking for teaching assistant work then please see below.
About the school
This primary schools we work with at Connex are inclusive and enable you to gain further practical experience, you will be supported by a welcoming team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff and you will be responsible for assisting the teachers and supporting the pupils in the classroom from Nursery to Year 6.
Assignment Details
Cover work is available between Monday – Friday so the right candidate MUST be able to work a minimum of 3 full days between 8:30am and 3:30pm. It is essential that you have either got a Teaching Assistant, Early Years or Childcare qualification or some other similar relavent experience to be successful to work as supply teaching assistant cover.

Person Specification
- Qualified, training to be qualified or experienced in a primary or nursery setting (placement or volunteer experience accepted)
- Have experience of supporting pupils in a primary environment, in a nursery or in a healthcare setting
- Be confident working with small groups or as a 1:1 key person
- Good Knowledge of Additional Needs and and school curriculum
- Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
