Role: EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Southport
Salary: £475-£500 per week
Working Days: Monday-Friday (full-time)
Start Date: September 2026
Connex Education are seeking a dedicated, proactive and experienced teaching assistant for a wonderful primary school in Southport from September 2026. A minimum of Level 2 TA or Level 2 Childcare is essential for this role.
About the school:
Connex Education have a long-standing tradition of supplying support staff to this excellent primary school in Southport. With an inclusive and positive working environment, many of our staff have secured long-term employment in the school. The school will be offering a temp-to-perm (contract) for the successful candidate.
About the supply role:
The role will involve providing general support and on occasion, one-to-one in a mix of year groups between EYFS and KS1. Experience working in Early Years and Key Stage 1 and a sound understanding of the EYFS Framework/KS1 curriculum is essential for this role.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Level 2/3 Early Years qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB ETC) or Level 2/3 TA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in EYFS and KS1 is essential for this role.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable.
- The ability to adapt to different learning environments.
- It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
