SEN Teaching Assistant

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school community in Handsworth. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to make a measurable, positive impact on pupils’ academic and personal development.
Role Overview
In this role, you will work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider SEN team to deliver tailored, high-quality support for pupils with diverse additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Operating on both a one-to-one and small-group basis, you will implement targeted interventions to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build academic confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Role Requirements
- Experience working in an SEN school
- Commitment to promoting equality and diversity
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection guidelines
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
