About the Role
- Teaching Assistant (Level A) – Intervention Team – Secondary School based
- Full-time position – 37 hours per week
- Working with students outside of mainstream classes, delivering targeted intervention support
- Supporting individuals and small groups to improve engagement, learning and progress
- Managing a caseload of students and recording intervention outcomes to demonstrate measurable progress
- Supporting the Inclusion Team as required, demonstrating flexibility across the school
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning and behavioural support
- Building positive relationships with students to promote confidence, wellbeing and achievement

Person Specification
To be considered for this role, candidates must have/be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working with children and young people.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- A sound understanding of how children learn and how to support their development.
- The ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- A minimum of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2), a Level 2 NVQ/CACHE/BTEC qualification, or an Experienced Exemption (two years’ referenceable school-based employment).
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
