About the Role
Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools in Matlock and the wider DE4 area who are looking for Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils on a flexible basis.
This role will primarily involve supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, particularly those with additional needs such as SEND, SEMH, or EAL. There may also be opportunities to work with small groups and assist the class teacher in creating a positive and structured learning environment.
This position would suit Teaching Assistants or graduates with prior experience supporting children with additional needs, as well as those looking to build experience within this area.

Assignment Details
Roles are available with immediate start options, offering both full-time and part-time flexibility depending on your availability.
Assignments can include a mix of short-term cover and longer-term 1:1 support roles, based on school needs and your experience.

Person Specification
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (e.g. SEND, SEMH, EAL) or a strong interest in this area
• Confident working on a one-to-one basis or with small groups
• Patient, resilient, and strong communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
