SEND Teaching Assistant

A well-regarded secondary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their inclusion department.

The school has a dedicated SEN department with a resource provision supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH needs. Behaviour systems are structured and consistent, and there is a strong pastoral team in place.

The role will involve working both within the classroom and in small group intervention settings.

The school is accessible via the Victoria Line and several major bus routes. Street parking available nearby.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs in mainstream lessons

• Delivering small group literacy/numeracy interventions

• Supporting emotional regulation

• Liaising with SENCO and pastoral staff

Requirements

• Previous SEND experience in a secondary setting preferred

• Understanding of SEMH and ASD needs

• Strong communication skills

• Professional and reliable

Enhanced DBS required.
