National Teaching Assistants’ Day

National Teaching Assistant’s Day

Our Connex Education staff have dashed around the country this week to reward their top Teaching Assistant in light of National Teaching Assistants’ Day!

Today we get the opportunity to shower our TA’s with thanks, as we celebrate the valuable contribution they bring to schools and to education every single day.

We didn’t want to be out of the loop on this special day, especially while all of our schools were getting involved…as the school assemblies and parties swung in to session, we managed to grab our TA’s for five minutes out of their busy schedule to say thank you, very, VERY much.

Let’s see who was selected as our top TA for each branch…

Warrington and Cheshire branch

Natasha met a very surprised Laura to greet her with a certificate, some flowers and a very big block of chocolate in the shape of a champagne bottle…yum.

Laura has worked for both Jake and Natasha during her time at Connex, so of course their feedback was outstanding:

“Laura gets completely stuck in to anything we throw at her! She constantly gets asked to go back to the schools that we place her in, and she is so keen and dedicated. The teacher and head teacher of the school she is currently at absolutely adore her!”

Well done Laura!

Merseyside branch

Our Merseyside branch places TA’s so often, they found it very difficult to choose one! So…they chose two! Both as BRILLIANT as each other, Ant and Kerry had loads to say about Jackie and Alison!

Kerry was made up to be giving something back to Jackie: “She goes above and beyond in all roles she is placed into.”

Ant also spoke very highly about Alison: “Alison has proven herself to be a fantastic addition to the Connex Team. Alison has worked in a long-term placement since January 2016 and has become a part of the school. She initially took the booking last minute and travelled a good distance for the role!”

“She has had great feedback from the children, teachers and office staff while she has been in her placement and is definitely someone they don’t want to let go. The feeling is more than mutual and Alison turned down a more local position to stay at the school.”

East Midlands branch

Craig visited Jessica while she was in school, to tell her she had won top TA!

“Jessica does an excellent job every single day that she works. She has been on a long term assignment for many, many months now and they are very happy with everything she brings to the table. Well done Jessica!”

Jonny also headed out to greet Marie on her way in to class, since they couldn’t decide on just one winner – she was very happy when she found out why he was there…

Jonny says: “Marie always gives 110% and consistently receives great feedback. She has taken on a number of difficult roles and has always performed, her work and commitment is greatly appreciated, so this is a thank you from Connex to her.”

West Midlands branch

Jasmine headed out to visit Scott to tell him the good news…

“My clients like Scott a lot and his work ethic – he’s almost always rebooked. Scott works with children and young students from the ages of 3 – 19 years. As well as working as a teaching assistant he also does residential work with one of my clients during the holidays. He is punctual and professional when attending all placements – updates his availability on time and is generally just a nice guy.”

So there you have it, our Top TA’s for 2016 on National Teaching Assistants’ Day. Next year, will it be you?

We want to say a massive thank you to all our TA’s on this special day for your contributions and we’re sure the schools you work in will echo this thanks in volume!
