Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Chesterfield
Role: Both flexible daily supply and full-time long-term(perm) positions available
Pay Rate: £85 to £95 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
About the school:
They are a special school for pupils aged 4-19 with severe learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition(ASC), and a wide range of cognitive and physical ability and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the classroom, helping students with complex needs in their learning and development.
- Provide personal care to students, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Support students individually or in small groups to achieve their specific learning objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Promote the social and emotional well-being of students, assisting them in developing vital life skills.
