About the Role
Connex Education is working with a dedicated SEND school in Stoke-on-Trent, recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant position. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The school caters to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, challenging behaviours, SEMH, ASD, ASC with a focus on providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will work with pupils as part of a collaborative team that values hard work, resilience, and the drive to positively impact children’s education.
Assignment Details

- Duration: Ongoing (short and long term assignments)

Person Specification
- Experience supporting pupils with special needs in a school or similar setting.
- Willingness to provide personal care when required.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
- Previous experience working with children with Autism, ASD, ADHD, MLD, Behavioural Issues, Social & Emotional Needs is ideal.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A current DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
