About the role

Connex Education is working with a Secondary School in the Durham area and are recruiting for a Supply Teacher for general cover to work full- time during term time. The role is to start in September for the new academic year.

About the school

The school is well established mainstream secondary school within the Durham area and is part of a multi academy trust. The school is currently looking to fill an ongoing temporary role for general cover. The ideal candidate  someone who shares the same passion and values for education. They are looking for a Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into the different departments and continue teaching the existing schemes of work for multiple subjects.

Assignment Details

 

As a supply teacher, you will be responsible for effectively delivering instruction to secondary school students across Key Stages 3-4. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, and employ a range of teaching methods to facilitate pupil learning. The successful applicant will have a  strong teaching background and be confident in covering numerous subject areas. Excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to build positive rapport with Students

Person Specification

  • must be 21 and over
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • PGCE in related subjects from a recognized provider
  • You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
  • Have experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 lessons across ability ranges.
  • Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
