About the role:
Connex Education are working with a School in Wigan who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team in January.
About the School:
This fantastic School caters for pupils aged between 2 and 11 years with a range of complex needs including Autism, GDD,Downs Syndrome and PMLD. The School is purpose built and ensures that all pupils school experience helps them to develop academically and emotionally in a fun and engaging environment. They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is empathetic, fun and passionate about making a difference to children’s lives.
Assignment details:
The role will commence in January and is a full-time role. Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. This roles is for 2 terms initially but there is a chance of a direct contract.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND either in a School or residential setting.
- Be willing to provide personal care.
- Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
- The ability to build relationships with staff and pupils.
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
