Contract: Full time, permanent
I am working with a partner school in Warrington who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Spanish to lead the Spanish department and shape the future of Spanish language education at the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Spanish department
- Develop and oversee the Spanish curriculum across all levels
- Manage and mentor a team of Spanish language teachers
- Monitor and maintain high academic standards and student achievement
- Create innovative teaching resources and assessment materials
- Build cross-curricular links with other departments
- Organize cultural events and international exchanges
- Contribute to the school’s broader modern languages strategy
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Native or near-native Spanish proficiency
- Qualified Teacher Status with relevant teaching qualifications
- Proven track record of successful Spanish teaching at various levels
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment
- Passion for Spanish language
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
